ABOUT
Joey Crowl is the current muscle and the equipment manager for the Malvern Exploration and Paranormal Society. Joey is the one who determines what tools and items are essential for a mission, and proceeds to obtain said items for an upcoming excursion. He commonly carries a crowbar, pry bar, and bolt cutters in the case of an emergency or for other uses, but never for breaking entry to a place or for destructive reasons. Other items he carries include paracord, a first-aid kit, and duct tape.
During missions, he uses his fortitude and strength to move obstructions and debris that may be blocking a crucial point to allow the group to further explore. In addition, he is also the designated person to boost members to an elevated position or open locked or barricaded doors.
Joey originally served as an interim explorer, replacing Christian Grimm's role of the lookout and reconnaissance on earlier outings. His first mission was the Hercules Engine Factory in December of 2016. From then, he attended every mission until the failed mission of Edwin Shaw Hospital on May 30, 2017, with the exception of the Bezaleel Wells and John H. Lehman High Schools. After Grimm officially renewed his contract, Joey's contract was terminated.
After two years, Joey made his return after the retirement of Jacob Andrews. He replaced Andrews' role of the muscle and equipment manager. His renewed tenure began in 2020 with the attendance of the Warner & Swasey Observatory, National Acme Company, and Cleveland Aquarium, and has attended every mission to date since then.
